47th JULY 15-16 2022
48th JULY 21-22 2023

North Dakota Fishing Hall of Fame

Members of the North Dakota Fishing Hall of Fame are people, organizations, or institutions that have made significant and lasting contributions to sportfishing in North Dakota.  They have been nominated by someone familiar with their sincere dedication to improving sportfishing in North Dakota in recognition and appreciation of their efforts.  You may know someone deserving of consideration for induction to the Hall of Fame.  The nomination process is simple and nominations for the Hall of Fame are accepted on an ongoing basis.  Inductions are done in July of each year in conjunction with the North Dakota Governor’s  Walleye Cup.  Nomination forms and more information can be found at www.ndfishinghalloffame.org  or by calling the Garrison CVB at 1-800-799-4242.

Conservation Fund
Proceeds from the North Dakota Governor's Walleye Cup are distrubuted to worthy causes each year. Below are some of the events the benefited in 2015:
Youth rods & Reels | ND Fishing Hall of Fame | Old Main & Kid Fishing Derby | Camp of the Cross-Kids Fishing Day | Physically Challenged Fishing Day
Garrison Memorial Hospital- Resident Fishing Day | Benedictine Living Center-Resident Fishing Day | ND Junior Governor's Cup
Note from Benedictine Living Center-Garrison:
"Thank you all for the generous donation from the 2015 conservation fund. We had such a fantastic fishing trip!
We wanted to share a few pictures with you. As you can see it did sprinkle a little bit when we started but it did not stop us.
We caught our limit. We appreciate your gift because it really helped to make this day a very memorable and special day! Thank you!"

A few comments from some of the folks that went fishing:
"This was the best fishing trip!"
"This was the first fish I have ever caught!"
"Can we fish again tomorrow?"
"I had so much fun!"
Note from Garrison Memorial Hospital & Nursing Staff:
"A sincere thank you to your group for thinking of us again this year and sending the generous donation so we can continue to go on fishing outings with our residents."
Note from The Old Man & Kid Fishing Derby:
"Thank you so much for the generous donation of $500 to the Old Man & Kid Fishing in Memory of Ed McLain. I appreciate you giving the fishing derby part of your 2015 conservation fund. The money is used to fund the fishing derby."
